Why should I work with a Mortgage Broker?

“What is the difference between getting a mortgage through a bank or working with a mortgage broker? And how do I know which choice is the right one for me?”

I hear this question a lot and I wanted to take some time to provide some clarity about what my role as Your Mortgage Broker is and how we work for you!

When you go to a bank you’re meeting with a sales specialist that’s trying to meet their sales targets that the bank has set for their sales role. They are paid employees of the bank. Personally, I don’t have sales targets and I am not paid by any particular lender. The lenders compensate us thru Lender Fees, but I do what I do because I love helping my clients with their finances and their mortgage goals.

I’m here to help guide you with the right solution for you and your family with your finances and cash flow for peace of mind. Whether that is for purchasing your first home or your next home, or maybe you are looking to refinance your home to pay out some debts or do home improvements or even switching your existing mortgage for a better solution. I am always going to find the best solution for you with the various lenders that I work with in the broker channel, we have options!

Banks only have access to one lender – the bank itself. I have access to 35+ different lenders, all offering their own products with a variety of guidelines to select from. Just because one lender said no, doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the road for you and your application. We will always work towards getting you the best option, that is suitable for you and your family.

When you work with me, you also get access to me and my team! We will seamlessly work with you as we guide you through every step of the application process and continue to be there for you for all of your future needs! When you work with us, this is just the beginning – we are building the foundation of a long-term relationship because, for me, it’s always about more than just mortgages!
